Unfortunately, Data Entry programs are one of the easiest to scam. I cannot vouch for any program specifically, but I remember almost 7 years ago when the company I worked for was in deep financial trouble, I started looking for work-at-home opportunities in case I lost my job.

I chanced upon an "opportunity" that I thought suited my needs. Little did I know that it was a common scam. I was required to scour the Internet on chat boards, forums and other websites looking for people who were like me - looking for work-at-home jobs. For "my" opportunity, the people I contacted would have 2 "options" - to buy a "business package" that would lead them to a fast-track OR to go the long way and work your way up. I discovered that either way, there would eventually be some form of payment to be made. The payment would not be a hefty sum - it would be an amount that anyone could afford. After all, the target of these scams is people desperate for income.

Anyway, after 2 days "on the job", I got wind that this was a scam. Did some searching and found that it was. I chose NOT to see it for what it was in the beginning because of "desperation". This is the weakness that scammers rely on.

In any case, there ARE very few online data-entry programs that are legitimate. Those that are, are quickly filled up and it's difficult to find an opening.

PMI recommends finding data-entry work by going to legitimate companies that require data entry personnel.
